Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta encapsulation is the most popular way to consume your placenta. The placenta is loaded with vitamins and minerals such as B6, B12 and iron and is abundant in the reproductive hormones that can be depleted after child birth. 
Mothers who have consumed their placenta report a boost in energy levels, increased and enriched milk supply, balanced moods, reduced post-natal bleeding and faster contraction of the uterus, a decrease in ‘baby blues’ and a general improvement in health and vitality.

It is recommended that mothers take 3 capsules in the morning. Capsules must be consumed within 6 months and if frozen, within 12 months. For an average sized baby of 3.2kg, you can expect around 150 capsules. Capsules are tasteless, however there is an option for berry flavoured capsules.

Placenta Essence

A placenta essence holds the essence of you and your child and is a potent stem celled packed remedy known for supporting the immune system. It has tremendous power to heal especially when taken by mothers in times of transition, illness, stress, emotional upheaval or hormonal imbalance. It can also be given to your baby in times of illness or stress from teething pain, reflux or colic etc. As our essences contain alcohol, we recommend using on your child’s pulse points only, e.g. neck, wrist etc. from 8-10 weeks of age onwards. 

Mother’s will receive a bottle containing the ‘mother essence’ along with a smaller empty dropper bottle. Three drops from the ‘mother essence’ is placed into the smaller dropper bottle and topped up with spring or distilled water. It is from this smaller bottle that mothers will take 5-10 drops and place in a glass of water, 3-5 times a day.

Essences take 24 hours to make so may be delivered separately from capsules or other remedies if purchasing these too. Placenta essences keep indefinitely if stored correctly.

Placenta Tincture

Placenta tinctures can be used by mothers in times of emotional, mental and psychological instability.  They may also be very beneficial in treating PMS and menopause. Using your placenta tincture throughout menopause is like using your body’s own natural hormone replacement therapy. Your placenta tincture can also aid your own mother to help with menopausal symptoms and can be given to your daughter when she goes through puberty to help balance hormones. We recommend this remedy to mothers who know this child will be their last. 

You will receive a larger bottle to set aside for future use. This will keep for many years if stored correctly. You will also receive a smaller dropper bottle containing your tincture to have on hand. Recommended dose is 10-40 drops in water 2-3 times daily when needed. Because of its potency, it is not a remedy suited for ongoing daily use beyond times of need.

Placenta Smoothie

Placenta smoothies are an excellent way to get a big boost of birth hormones and stem cells after birth which may aid in a faster recovery and a larger supply of milk. One or multiple smoothie packs can be purchased, depending on how much of your placenta you would like to dedicate to this particular remedy. A small piece of placenta along with frozen organic berries and bananas will be supplied; all you have to do is add water or milk of choice and blend. With enough berries in the smoothie you shouldn’t be able to taste the placenta. It is recommended you consume your smoothie packs within one week of birth.

Placenta Salve

Placenta salves are incredible for reducing scarring post caesarean sections, healing perineal trauma, easing haemorrhoids, soothing cracked or sore nipples, treating burns and cuts, and have been proven effective for treating nappy rash and a number of other skin conditions for your baby. Some people swear by salves for reducing blemishes, improving tone and colour and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Kilter’s salves contain placenta oil, apricot kernel oil, coconut oil, shea butter and a mix of essential oils, however these can be tailored to suit any allergies or sensitivities.
